DU Best of Four Percentage Rule - UG Admission 2016


 Procedure To Calculation of Best of Four Subjects Percentage for B.A / B.Com. DU UG Admission Best of Four Percentage Rule. Best of Four Subject Percentage Calculation Method for Arts / Humanities courses. Admission to Science courses

Best of Four Subject Percentage Calculation Method for Arts / Humanities courses:

One language (Core / Elective /Functional)
The subject  in which students want admission and if it's not studied and he / she seeking admission in honors course, then disadvantage of 2.5% will imposed. 
If any student doesn't include two subjects from given list below, then disadvantage of 2.5% will imposed.

Subjects in given table are offered by DU for UG Admission, only these subjects will be treated as  Academic or Elective Subjects. In case any board offer different subject then it will be treated as non-elective. Weightage of theory marks will 70% for each subject (these marks won't include Sessional and piratical marks).

DU UG New Admission Guideline for 2015-16 Session

1. Commerce subject can be replace by Accountancy is equivalent to commerce trade elective subject.

2. Biology / Biotechnology / Business will be counted in academic subjects

3. Music and Physical Education will consider as academic subject in case of honors only.

4. If any student have studied both elective and core in any language then elective language will consider as Academic subject and Core language will consider as Language.

5. Admission in B.A. (Hons) Hindi Patrakarita and B.A. (Hons) Journalism will totally based on Best of Four Percentage in B.A (Hons) Hindi and B.A (Hons.) English respectively.

DU UG Expected Cut Off Marks 2015-16 Admissions

6. Admission in B.A. (Hons.) applied psychology will based on Best of Four Percentage as in B.A (Hons) Psychology.

7. Admission in B.A. (Hons) social work will based on Best of Four Percentage including one language and three academic subjects.

8. Informatics practices is equivalent to Computer Science.

9. For admission to honours in Economics and commerce candidates must have passed mathematics intermediate exam.

10. Any candidates who have study elective language and seeking admission in hons (same subject) they will get advantage of 2% marks in Best of Four percentage, if not then disadvantage of 5% marks will imposed. For admission in Hons Hindi / English candidates must have studied, other wise they won't get admission .

11. For particular honours course university will define any other relevant subjects as academic/elective

Procedure To Calculation of Best of Four Subjects Percentage for B.A / B.Com

One language (Core/Elective/Functional) 
 If change in stream found than a disadvantage up to 5% is impose in Best of Four percentage. Students should choose three elective subjects.
The related vocational subjects can be considered as academic/elective subject for admission in B.A vocational courses only
The candidates will get advantage of 10% in Best of Four Percentage for MIL Subject (except Hindi) offers in any college.

Admission to Science courses:

The selection basis is remains unchanged for mathematical sciences/science/home science courses. However the subjects which are included for basis of selection must have to at least 70% components of theory exam in qualify exam otherwise 10% disadvantage from maximum marks may be levied on each subjects.
