- The SSC Stenographer will consists Objective Type Multiple Questions only.
- The Steno Question Paper will available in English & Hindi both language, But in Part III question paper will available only in English Language.
- Total time duration is 2 hours (10:00 am to 12:00 pm), but for Handicapped candidates time duration is 02 hour 40 minutes (10:00 am to 12:40 pm)
- Their will be 1/4 negative marking for each wrong question.
- Their are total 200 questions.
- Each question will consists 1 marks & total marks is 200.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: The General Intelligence & Reasoning section will consists questions of both verbal & non-verbal type. Like analogies, similarities & differences, problem solving, analysis, space visualization, visual memory, discriminating observation, judgement, decision making, relationship concepts, verbal & figure classification, arithmetical reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.
General Awareness: The General Awareness section will consists the questions to test the ability of the candidate in general awareness of the environment around him & its application for society, knowledge of current events. Question paper will based on General Awareness, Current Events, India & its Neighboring countries Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, & Scientific Research etc.
English Language & Comprehension: The English Language & Comprehension section will consist the questions to the testing of candidate understanding of English & its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, correct usage etc.
