Penalty for Incorrect Answers in Clerk Pre Paper: Each correct answer will make a sum of one mark in total score but rule of negative marking is also applicable for wrong answer. Every wrong answer will reduce .25 (1/4) marks from the score. Any question remains attempted will stand for zero marks, means there is no penalty for such answers.

Few important terms about Clerk Cut Off Marks and Score
Scoring of Marks: Cut Off Marks for all candidates of same category will remains same weather they have appeared in different different sessions of clerk exam. Scored marks will be calculated up to two digits after decimal.

Cut Off Marks Calculations: To qualify the clerk pre exam candidates have to score minimum marks in online test, these marks are different for each category. IBPS has predefined method to calculate the cut off marks.
- for General Category: Mean - 1/4th of Standard Deviation
- for OBC / ST / SC PWD: Mean - 3/4th Standard Deviation
After Qualifying the Clerk Pre Exam: Candidates who have qualified the Prelims exam of Clerk, they will appear in Mains exam which will be organized till the first week of January 2015.
