DU First Cut Off 2016 - UG Admission Scheme
Delhi University have its unique admission scheme that is purely based on Best of Four Percentage rule, students who are well known of Best of Four rule they can skip this para and scroll down to college cut off list.What is "Best of Four" Percentage Rule?
Basically Best of Four rule is their for admission in honors and prog courses, this include the aggregate percentage of four elected subjects (three optional and one language). Now according to Best of Four rule students have to compromise with by deduction of few percentage if they are seeking admission in another subject they haven't studied in 12th class.- The subject in which admission is sought (If a candidate does not include concerned subject whether studied or not, in ‘Best Four’ in which student is seeking admission in honours course, then a deduction of 2.5% will be imposed on the calculated ‘Best Four’ percentage.
- Any two other academic/ elective subjects as per list mentioned below.

Reservation of Admission Seats as Per Category
As per the rules of Government of India the reservation policy is also applicable for DU Admissions, some of important points about Delhi University seat reservation is mentioned below.Reservation for SC/ST Candidates
- SC/ST (Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe) candidates have 22.5% seats reserved for admissions, typically the ratio of reserved seats are 15% and 7.5% for SC and ST candidates sequentially.
- ST/SC candidates will get relaxation to the extent of 5% in the minimum marks will be given to determine their eligibility and merit for admission in respected courses.
- SC/ST candidates who are seeking admission under open merit will not get benefits of reservation quota.
Reservation for OBC Candidates
- There are 27% seats are reserved for OBC Candidates.
- Only OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) candidates will get reservation benefits.
- OBC candidates shall be given a relaxation of 10% in the minimum eligibility marks of the
said course and in the admission entrance test 10% of the minimum eligibility marks prescribed
for General Category candidate.
Reservation for PwD (Person with Disabilities)
- Total 3% seats are reserved for PwD students.
- Admission seekers who have minimum 40% disabilities will get the benefits of PwD category.
Reservation for Armed Forces (CW) :
- There are total 5% seats are reserved in every college under armed force reservation quota.
- Admission may be offered to the Children/Widows of Officers and Men of the Armed Forces
including Para-Military Personnel in some special conditions.
